Looking to check your messages but you’re not at your desk? There’s a simple solution for that. Follow the steps below to access your voicemail from anywhere in the office:

  1. Dial *97 from any phone.
  2. When prompted, enter the extension that you want to check for voicemails.  Press the # key.
  3. When prompted, enter the password of that mailbox and press the # key.

Transfer to Voicemail

If you know Johnny is not in the office but you have a caller looking to leave a message, there’s no point in making the caller wait for the 25 to 30 seconds to go to voicemail right? We’re all trying to save time, but no need to cut corners. Here’s how you put a caller directly into the voicemail:

  1. While on a call, press the Transfer button.
  2. Instead of dialing just the extension, dial ** then the extension.
  3. Press Transfer to send the call directly to voicemail.

Call Park

Call Park

Anyone can park a call. If you don’t know what this is, it is typically used by an operator who takes calls, then tracks down the person in question. Using call park, they can place the call in a park location, then page the individual letting them know that a call is waiting in that park location. Here’s how to do it:

  1. While on a call, press the Transfer button.
  2. Dial *3 + the park location such as 1 (*31)
  3. Press the Transfer button again.
  4. Call is now in Park Location 1.
  5. User 2 can now dial *31 to retrieve that call.

Holiday Routing

It is possible to configure your phone system to automatically go into holiday mode. My favorite way is to set all holidays at the beginning of the year, then sit back and relax. Below is the step by step instructions on how to do it:

  1. Click the Voip button after logging into your portal account.
  2. Click on the Holiday routing down the left side menu.
  3. Click add holiday route in the right hand window.
  4. Set your parameters for the holiday. NOTE: you will need to do a second holiday for the Friday after Thanksgiving for instance if you have both days off.
  5. Click the Save button.
  6. Under “Phone Numbers” on the left hand menu, you can select what happens to calls when the date falls under your holiday menu.
